David, a native of Dothan, Alabama, is a graduate of Dothan High School, Auburn University Montgomery, and Asbury Theological Seminary. Before entering full-time ministry, he worked in several fields—including retail management, law enforcement, and healthcare. In his early thirties, David came to faith in Christ and sensed a clear call to pulpit ministry, leading him to pursue theological training and complete his Master of Divinity in 2006.
He began serving in pastoral ministry in 1999 and faithfully pastored congregations within the United Methodist Church for more than two decades in Newton, Dothan, and Demopolis, Alabama, and here in Panama City. David joined Forest Park as Senior Pastor in 2019. In 2023, he and the congregation discerned God’s leading to step away from the United Methodist denomination and continue as a non-denominational church, where he continues to serve with gratitude and conviction.
The youngest of four brothers, David is also a father and grandfather. Outside of ministry, he enjoys building scale models, exploring technology, and reading history—interests that reflect his self-professed “nerdy” side.
Across his years of ministry, David has learned to walk in both humility and grace, recognizing his own limitations while resting in Christ’s boundless love. His deepest passion is helping others discover that same transforming love of Jesus Christ—a love that is unrelenting, personal, and life-changing.
